Where does LoanBrix operate?

We operate and have customers from all over Australia. Given the nature of our business and of the world we live in, we can call you, meet up in person or connect with you online. We work with you to understand what you are looking for with a loan and aim to deliver the best outcomes we can for you, given your circumstances.
Our physical office is in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.

How long will it take to get my home loan approved?

Our team will process your loan application as quickly as possible. Ideally if we have received your information and your preferred loan option has been chosen we work to provide loan application for your electronic signature within 2 business days. Timeframe for approval will depend on Service Level Agreement (SLA) with your chosen lender. Normally we would expect your chosen lender to provide initial approval within 4 business days. If your lender is operating on a longer SLA than 4 business days we will explain this to you prior to choosing that lender for your application.

What information do I need to give to get a home loan?

The information may vary but minimum requirements are:
- Passport and Drivers Licence
- 2 most recent payslips or last 2 years tax returns/financials/ATO notice of assessment
- Bank statements, ideally provided via our bankstatements.com.au data service
Other documents may be requested, depending on your circumstances.

How much money do I need to save to get a home loan?

As a rough rule of thumb, we suggest aiming towards saving a deposit of up to 10% of the purchase price. This puts you in a better position in terms of lenders and loan product offerings available to you. At a minimum though, as a First Home Buyer a 5% deposit may be sufficient to purchase your home depending on purchase price.

How much is the First Home Owners Grant (FHOG)?

This varies from state to state however you can obtain this information from your State Revenue Office website. In most states $10,000 is generally the amount available for First Home Buyers purchasing a new or to-be-built property under certain price threshold.

If I have defaults on my credit file, does this mean I can’t get a home loan?

It can make things harder but it is not impossible. We work hard to find the best solution for you if you are credit impaired. Or we look at ways to repair your credit file if credit defaults and court judgements have been incorrectly recorded on your credit file.

How do I know which loan is best for me?

LoanBrix brokers will work with you to understand your current position and will provide you with the most competitive lending options we can find from our panel of lenders. We tailor lending solutions for you given your circumstances.

I want to buy an investment property, do I need a large deposit and substantial equity in my current home?

You will need at least a 10% deposit of the purchase price or equity in your current property as a minimum.

If I already have a home loan with a bank is it easy to switch banks?

At LoanBrix we make it simple and seamless for you to refinance your loan via our online application process. We manage collecting your information, credit approval and signing your loan documents. We also where possible notify your existing lender of your intention to refinance and help expedite the process and make it as smooth as possible. Once on-boarded as a customer with LoanBrix, we will stay in touch with you and help manage and tailor your loan finance needs on an ongoing basis.
